How to increase your earnings on Textbroker?
You can increase your earnings on Textbroker by increasing your star rating. Here’s how to get a 5 star rating on Textbroker.
The higher your star rating, the more money you can make per word. For the same amount of typing, you could make more words and your work will be more profitable.
But increasing your earnings by raising your star rating on Textbroker isn’t necessarily easy. There are a lot of reviews you need to completely pass to actually increase a star rating.
However, increasing your star rating isn’t the only way to increase your earnings on Textbroker. There are other methods you can take to make this side gig more profitable.
How to get more jobs on Textbroker?
Another method to increase your earnings is by getting and completing more jobs on Textbroker. You can get more jobs on Textbroker by logging on to the platform at the right times and days.
Yes, there is a better time to log on to Textbroker’s job board and look for work.
The best time to look for open jobs on Textbroker is Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. These are the hours when most open jobs are listed on Textbroker and can be accepted.
One tip for always finding the newest job is by adding an autorefresh extension on your Google Chrome internet browser. I like to set my autorefresh extension to about 10 seconds. This extension will refresh the page every 10 seconds and you’ll be able to see any new jobs posted to Textbroker almost immediately.
The more jobs you take and complete, the more you can get paid from Textbroker.
How to get Direct Orders on Textbroker?
Direct Orders on Textbroker pay better than regular jobs from the job board. However, it can be tricky getting them. The best way to get Direct Orders on Textbroker is by reaching out to a client you’ve already completed work for.
You might’ve already completed a Direct Order on Textbroker and not realized it. You can check to see if you’ve ever done a Direct Order before by looking at your Author Statistics.

If you haven’t already completed a Direct Order then you might just need to reach out to a client and ask them for work.
You can reach out to clients for Direct Orders on Textbroker by going to the section at the top labeled Contacts and clicking on the dropdown that says Address Book. It should look like this:

In your Address Book is where you’ll find the Client IDs for the clients you’ve completed work for. Please note that if a client has banned you, their Client ID will not appear in your Address Book. Instead, it will appear in your Banned List.

You can click through your Client IDs in the Address Book on Textbroker to actually write a message and reach out to these clients. As you can see in the image above, each client has their own price per word that they will pay for a Direct Order. These amounts are usually always larger than a regular Open Order.
The clients you reach out to for a Direct Order on Textbroker will be able to see the work you’ve completed for them in the past. It will look like the image below:

It’s important to note that the ‘O’ on the left side of the image above means Open Order. This means the work was completed from the Open Order job board, not a Direct Order or Team Order.
Once you complete a Direct Order, that order will have a ‘D’ labeled next to it instead, like this image below.

As you can see in the image above, two Open Orders and one Direct Order were completed for the same client. The Direct Order paid significantly more money than the Open Orders.
For this reason, Direct Orders will help you increase your earnings on Textbroker and make more money as a writer.
How much should you expect to actually make on Textbroker?
Realistically, new writers should expect to make anywhere between $10 and $50 per month during their first months on Textbroker.
If you’re not a new writer and you’ve been using Textbroker for a few months then you can expect between $100 and $300 every month.
Veteran writers should expect to make anywhere from $300 to $500 every month on Textbroker. Very few writers make more than $500 every month on Textbroker, but the ones that do can even get over $1,000 a month on the platform.
However, it’s best to keep expectations low when it comes to making money on Textbroker. How much you can make on Textbroker depends on how willing you are to learn. Writers should expect low payments at first and try to grow the money they earn every month.
Conclusion: Don’t expect to make a living with Textbroker
While some writers can make a living on Textbroker, most writers won’t. It’s because some writers aren’t good enough to get a high star rating and make a lot per every word they write. It’s still worth writing for Textbroker.
Veteran writers that are good enough to get a high star rating aren’t patient enough to learn how Textbroker works and find the times when a lot of orders are listed. Try these alternatives to Textbroker if you’d like to find something new.
It takes long hours to learn how Textbroker works. After you understand the way orders are listed on Textbroker, you will make more money on Textbroker. However, you probably won’t make a living.
